چکیده

Abstract: Background: Trigonella foenum-graecum L (Fenugreek) is an annual herb, mainly cultivated for its seed as well sprouts. Pharmacological investigations reported anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, anti-diarrheal, anti-hypercholesteremic, and antiinflammatory activities of L. Aim: The purpose this study was to accentuate on formulation granules investigate the effect germinated (TFG) in Diabetes mellitus (DM) rats induced by streptozotocin fenugreek retains hypoglycemic property. Materials Methods: Granules TFG powder were arranged means several excipients comprising diverse amounts super disintegrants (wet) granulation method proceed solid dosage form evaluation. Further, in-vivo performed STZ DM Wister four weeks. 1600mg/kg Glibenclamide 0.45 mg/kg (as a positive control comparison) orally administrated evaluate diabetics rats. Results: All evaluation parameters are correct: standard tablet. (Streptozotocin) treatment with Drug (Glibenclamide) significantly lowered blood plasma glucose levels 36% (mean ± SD 120 0.6 mg/dL (p < 0.001)) 38% 114 0.4 mg/dL; p 0.001) respectively after 4 weeks when compared T2DM (Type 2 mellitus) Conclusion: Experimental studies had shown that bioactive compounds found Foenum graceum herb have potential cure diabetes especially due presence unique chemical constituent including trigonelline, galactomannan amino acid 4-hydroxy isoleucine. These findings suggested may be alternative medicine management DM. Keywords: foenum-graecum, Fenugreek, Anti-diabetic, Tablet, mellitus.

Antinociceptive effect of black seed feeding in streptozotocin-diabetic rats

Abstract  Introduction: Diabetic rats display exaggerated hyperalgesic behavior in response to noxious stimuli that may resemble and model aspects of painful diabetic neuropathy in humans. This study was designed to investigate the effect of Nigella sativum (NS) on formalin-induced nociceptive responses (standard formalin test) in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats.  Methods: For this...

Anti-diabetic effect of aqueous extract Crocus sativus L. in tartrazine induced diabetic male rats

Introduction: In this study, we evaluated the antidiabetic and antidiabetogenic effect of saffron against diabetes induced by artificial dye tartrazine on normal male rats. Methods: Dried saffron was macerated for 12 hours in distilled water before usage and crude extract was used to treat male rats. Rats were divided into 5 groups consisted of 6 rats and treatment was performed daily a...

Assessment of the anti-diabetic activity of deoxyspergualin in low-dose streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.

In mice, five injections of sub-diabetogenic doses of streptozotocin (STZ) may cause diabetes mellitus associated with lymphocyte infiltration of pancreatic islets1*^. There is evidence implicating autoimmune processes in the pathogenesis of this experimental diabetes3 > 4). Significantly, the development of this diabetes was prevented by rabbit anti-mouse lymphocyte serum5). Since deoxyspergua...
